Private Wheel Workshop

Indulge in a Private Workshop designed exclusively for couples, groups of friends, or family members who yearn for a delightful hobby session in a cozy, closed-off studio space. For a full 90 minutes, the studio will be exclusively yours to relish. 

Under the guidance of our in-house trainer, Ms. Mitasha Chatterji, alongside a dedicated helper, you'll delve into the art of pottery on the wheel. You can find our instructor on Instagram at @vagabond_potter. 

Throughout this 90-minute workshop, you will: 

• Learn the fundamental steps of throwing and shaping a cylinder. 
• Have the opportunity to glaze your pieces once they've undergone bisque firing (a separate-day activity included within the workshop fee). 
• Each participant will proudly take home the two pieces they craft. Should you wish to create additional pieces, they can be acquired for 60 QR each. 

The rate for a group of up to 4 participants is 1,800 QAR for the 90-minute session. Additional participants can join at a cost of 400 QAR per person, and extending the workshop by an extra half an hour is available for 600 QAR. 

Please note our cancellation policy: We kindly request that you honor our business scheduling policies and provide at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations. In the event of cancellation within less than 24 hours, a rescheduling fee of 150 QAR per person will apply. 

Additionally, be aware that the entire process, from crafting with clay, through the drying and trimming phases, to bisque firing and glazing, takes a minimum of 2 weeks. Your patience is deeply appreciated. 

While in the furnace, the raw pieces may experience unique reactions, including the possibility of cracking. In such instances, we will supply a standard ready-made replacement. We apologize for any inconvenience, but remember, it's the creative journey that truly matters, not just the end result. 

Once we notify you to come for glazing, your pieces will be securely stored for an additional 5 weeks before we showcase them during a special open day. Any uncollected pieces will be available for visitors to glaze and take home.
