These Terms & Conditions govern all public and private workshop bookings at Ceramic Cube Pottery Trading (“the Studio”), Excellence Tower, Unit 3002, West Bay, Doha, Qatar. Completing a booking constitutes the guest’s acceptance of these Terms. Effective 1 July 2026. In case of any discrepancy between the two texts, the Arabic text shall prevail.

1. Booking & Payment

A booking is confirmed upon full payment. Upon the guest’s request, partial payment may be accepted: a 50% deposit at booking and the remaining 50% due on the session day. The Studio may decline entry where the balance is unpaid. Prices are as per the published rate card, in Qatari Riyals (QAR).

2. Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refunds

2.1 Times run from the session start time on your booking confirmation (Doha time).

2.2 Cancellation. Refunds go to the original payment method. 72 hours or more before the session: full refund. Less than 72 but at least 48 hours: 75% of the amount paid (the same 25% as the rescheduling fee). Less than 48 but at least 24 hours: 50% of the amount paid. Less than 24 hours, or no-show: no refund.

2.3 Rescheduling. Once only. 72 hours or more before: free. Less than 72 hours: a fee of 25% of the booking value.

2.4 Attendance. Once the guest attends, the booking is used and is not refundable. The price is for the workshop experience (teaching, materials, studio time), not for how a piece turns out. Dissatisfaction with the making, painting, glazing or firing look is not a ground for refund. This does not affect Clause 5, the remedy in Clause 9, or a session the Studio fails to deliver as booked.

2.5 Online bookings. Before paying, the guest confirms the session is reserved for a specific date and time, and agrees this Clause 2 applies instead of any right to cancel an online purchase within three days, to the extent the law permits.

2.6 These percentages are a fair estimate of the Studio’s loss (held seat, prepared materials, place refused to others), not a penalty.

2.7 No other cash refunds, except under Clauses 5 and 7 or with Founder approval.

3. Reschedule Validity

A rescheduled session must be used within 30 days of the original session date, subject to availability.

4. Late Arrival

Sessions start and end on schedule. Arrival up to 20 minutes late: the guest may join; the session is not extended. Arrival 21–29 minutes late: joining is at the instructor’s discretion and completion of a piece is not guaranteed. Arrival 30 minutes or later: the booking is treated as a rescheduling request and the 25% fee under Clause 2 applies. Traffic and parking are the guest’s responsibility; guests are kindly asked to arrive 10 minutes early.

5. Cancellation by the Studio

If the Studio cancels a session for any reason (including insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or force majeure), the guest chooses between a full refund or priority rebooking.

6. Piece Readiness

Pieces, including ready-to-paint pieces painted at the studio, are ready for collection a minimum of 2 weeks after the session date. During busy periods, please allow up to 4 weeks. The guest is notified as soon as their pieces are ready.

7. Colored Tier — Glazing Visit

Where the Colored tier is purchased, the glazing visit must be booked within 60 days of the readiness notice; otherwise the glazing entitlement is forfeited without refund. If readiness exceeds the Clause 6 window for reasons attributable to the Studio, the guest may convert the booking to the Bisque tier and receive a refund of the glazing portion only.

8. Collection of Pieces

Pieces must be collected within 30 days of the readiness notice. One written reminder is sent; 14 days after the reminder, uncollected pieces are deemed abandoned and the Studio may dispose of or repurpose them without compensation.

9. Firing Outcomes & Remedies

Kiln firing is inherently variable and outcomes are not guaranteed. If a piece fails in firing for any reason — the nature of ceramics, the guest’s chosen design, or Studio handling — the guest is offered, free of charge, one of the following: (a) a short remake session (approx. 30 minutes, one piece, subject to scheduling); or (b) a comparable ready-made bisque piece from Studio stock, which is glazed under the Colored tier where purchased. No cash refunds are provided for firing outcomes (see also Clause 2.4). Cases attributable to the Studio receive priority scheduling for the remedy.

10. Minors

For kids’ workshops (ages 6–12), a parent or guardian signs the risk waiver at check-in. The guardian may leave the premises provided a designated accompanying adult (18+), named on the waiver, remains present throughout the session. No minor may be left unaccompanied. Participation of under-18s in adult formats requires the guardian’s written consent.

11. Safety & Liability

11.1 Assumption of risk. Pottery involves inherent risks, including rotating wheel machinery, sharp tools, clay dust, glaze materials, and hot surfaces near recently fired ware. By attending, the guest voluntarily accepts these risks.

11.2 Instructions. Guests must follow instructor and staff directions at all times, including tool handling, wheel operation, and restricted areas. The Studio may stop any guest acting unsafely, without refund.

11.3 Health disclosure. Guests with relevant conditions (pregnancy, respiratory sensitivity to dust, skin conditions, mobility limitations) participate at their own judgment and should inform staff before the session. Staff may adapt the activity and are not medical advisors.

11.4 Clothing & personal items. Clay stains; aprons are provided. The Studio is not liable for damage to clothing, jewellery, phones, or other personal belongings, including items left on the premises. Long hair must be tied back and loose sleeves secured at the wheel.

11.5 Injury. Any injury must be reported to staff immediately. A first-aid kit is available and the Studio will assist in arranging medical care; costs rest with the guest except where the Studio is at fault under Qatari law.

11.6 Limitation. To the maximum extent permitted by Qatari law, the Studio’s total liability for any claim arising from a workshop is capped at the amount paid for that booking. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (gross negligence, wilful misconduct).

11.7 Premises rules. No food or drink at work stations (lidded water bottles permitted); no smoking or vaping. Guests are responsible for damage they cause to Studio equipment beyond normal wear.

12. Photography & Media

No photographs or videos of guests are taken for marketing purposes except with the guest’s explicit consent, requested by staff during the workshop and recorded at check-in. No consent means no photography of that guest.

13. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. The Studio may amend these Terms; amendments are published on the website and rate card. These Terms are issued in Arabic and English; in case of conflict, the Arabic text prevails.
