Firing

Kiln Firing

Built your piece elsewhere? Bring it here. We fire to bisque (your first hardening) or glaze (the final transformation). Priced by the shelf, no kiln-loading guesswork — just drop it off, we'll fire it, you collect when it's ready.

Two kinds of firing

Bisque is the first firing — it hardens your bone-dry clay and gets it ready for glaze. Glaze is the finish — it melts the glaze into a glassy surface.

How it works

  • Drop-off: Bring pieces during opening hours (Sat–Thu, 1–9 PM). Greenware must be bone dry. Glazed work needs a clean foot.
  • Pricing: By the shelf. Each shelf fits about 20 cups (max 14 cm height). Pieces over 14 cm count as two shelves.
  • Turnaround: Fired on our regular schedule. We'll message you when ready. No rush firing.
  • Pickup: Bring a box — we don't wrap.
  • Clay compatibility: Must be cone 6 / mid-fire. Not sure? Send us a photo of the bag.
