Bisque Firing Service
Bring us your bone-dry work. We'll fire it for you.
Bisque firing is the first firing — it hardens the clay, drives out the last of the water, and gets your piece ready for glazing. Whether you're making at home, working in another studio, or just don't have access to a kiln, we'll take your greenware and bring it through a proper, controlled bisque cycle.
How it works
- Priced by the shelf. Each shelf fits up to 20 cups, max height 14 cm. Anything over 14 cm counts as two shelves.
- Drop-off: Bring your bone-dry pieces to the studio during opening hours. Make sure they're properly dry — wet or damp work can crack the kiln load.
- Turnaround: Pieces are fired on the studio's regular schedule. We'll let you know when they're ready for pickup.
- Pickup: Bring a box or container — we don't wrap.
Important notes
- The studio is not responsible for damage to pieces during firing. Pottery sometimes cracks — it's the nature of the work.
- You're liable for any damage to the kiln caused by incorrect materials.
- Make sure your clay body is rated for our firing range (cone 6 / mid-fire).
